The intern will work in an interdisciplinary team on a project called CHARMS. CHARMS is a digital hub that connects activists, students, researchers and professionals with an interest in promoting access to menstrual and reproductive health. This digital hub will provide access to toolkits, reports as well as workshops to empower CHARMS members to effectively advocate for this issue.

**The specific roles & responsibilities will be as follows:**

**CHARMS App (Digital Network) Management : 0.125 FTE**

- Developing the primary database with member's info for CHARMS
- Developing a secondary database with toolkits and resources
- Participating in training sessions
- Participating in weekly team meetings

**Automations : 0.125 FTE**

- Using Zapier, connect various components of the app and the public-facing website to Hubspot (CRM)
- Create automation pipelines in Hubspot to track member activities
- Troubleshoot broken automation pipelines

**Digital Marketing: 0.25 FTE**

- Conducting split tests for automated emails & social media campaigns
- Tracking reach and engagement metrics for social media posts
- Setting up Google Ads & sponsored ads for CHARMS
- Designing social media posts
- Using Hootsuite to schedule social media posts
- Search Engine Optimization of CHARMS & our website

**How we will support you:**

- Up to $4000 in paid training to develop skills related to your role
- Additional training opportunities from Hootsuite
- Weekly 1-1 training & feedback from the Executive Director
- Work with a diverse, interdisciplinary team
- Learn to track and manage agile projects using Miro & Asana.
- Learn to use Hubspot as a CRM tool
- Understand the basics of digital marketing, and metrics tracking

**Hiring Timeline:**
- Application closes : 25 October 2021
- Interviews : 26 & 28 October 2021
- Hiring decision : 29 October 2021
- Start date : 01 November 2021


**You are eligible for this role if you are:**  

- Be between the ages of 15 and 30, inclusive, at the start of the internship

- Be a post-secondary graduate (i.e. has completed a diploma or degree following secondary education)

- Not be in receipt of EI during the course of the work placement,

- Be legally entitled to work in Canada as a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or person who has been granted refugee status,

- Reside, physically work in BC or have plans to return to BC

- Self-assess as underemployed, meaning they are employed below their level of education and/or hold part-time employment, or are unemployed

- Not have completed a DS4Y work placement in their lifetime, and

- Not be a co-op student
