About the Job
You will work closely with our grants & partnerships coordinator to develop proposals for various grants and funding opportunities. On average, Free Periods Canada submits one proposal each month.
You will be working remotely, and will report directly to our grants & partnerships coordinator. You can work from anywhere in Canada, however, you must be available in the evenings in Pacific time as our core team members are located in Vancouver, BC.
Develop and maintain a database of relevant grant
Write, edit and submit grant proposals on behalf of the organization
Develop partnerships with external organizations to strengthen grant proposals
Write project completion reports
Attends webinars to develop grant writing skills
Share proposal with reviewers (board members & executive team) and incorporate feedback provided
Work closely with the treasurer & executive director to develop the budget portions of the application
Attend weekly meetings to share progress reports
Skills & Requirements:
Strong writing & editing skills
Strong time-management skills
Ability to research and organize grants applications
Experience using excel
Experience liaising with external organizations/forming collaborative relationships
Interested in further developing grant-writing skills
Free Periods Canada is a grassroots non-profit organization (previously known as Period at UBC).
