Digital Marketing Coordinator
As an Indigenous womxn, Singer Songwriter, and a graduate of UBC in English Literature and Creative Writing, Rebecca is passionate about using her gift of creativity to make change. Before graduating in 2019, Rebecca became the Education Coordinator of the Native Women’s Resource Centre of Toronto. She created programs to provide Indigenous womxn with the educational support to complete a high school education, begin post secondary studies, and achieve employment. Rebecca later began work for the Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund (DWF) where she advocated for the true history of residential schools to be taught about in schools across Canada. Through the creation of digital content, Rebecca helped increase DWF’s social media followers by the thousands. Rebecca plans to continue advocating for equality through education, by creating well informed, interactive and personable digital marketing content for companies who wish to make a difference like Free Periods Canada.
