Arden Day

Arden has recently graduated from Carleton University with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Criminal Justice. In her capstone project, she examined local circumstances of feminism and colonialism to establish how concepts of fertility and reproductive healthcare are differentially policed in Canada, demonstrating her curiosity and passion for advancing research on gender-based issues. Arden’s passion for social justice and community engagement extends beyond academics, as her past work experience has a dedicated focus on increasing access to sexual and reproductive healthcare in her community and ending menstrual-related stigma. Through her involvement in these projects, Arden has realized the intersectionality of the menstrual equity movement and is enthusiastic to join the Free Periods team as they create social impact spaces for the collaboration of these advocates. In her free time, you can find Arden at a local coffee shop or the dog park with her pug.
