Lia Holla

Lia Holla has extensive experience in education, advocacy, and community engagement across nonprofit and public sectors. Her approach is shaped by interdisciplinary studies in physics and political science at McGill University and years of leadership experience coordinating educational and advocacy initiatives in disarmament and social justice. Lia previously served as Executive Director of International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War Canada, where she led initiatives focused on peace, public health, education, and youth engagement for over 5 years. Her work is grounded in a commitment to transforming systems of harm and helping build systems centered on wellbeing, health, dignity, and community care. Recognized by the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs as one of 25 global leaders under 29, Lia is committed to empowering young people through meaningful community engagement and education.
