Qwisun Yoon-Potkins
Qwisun is a sexual health educator who has recently started her PhD at the University of Toronto
Qwisun Yoon-Potkins is a Korean/English settler who currently lives on the traditional homelands of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh peoples, colonially known as East Vancouver. She is a sexual health educator with a Masters of Arts in Educational Studies from UBC, and soon-to-be PhD student at the University of Toronto in the OISE Curriculum and Pedagogy Program. Her work primarily focuses on reimagining sexual health education at the secondary school age level, with a specific interest in collaborating with youth to improve how sex ed is viewed and taught within the education system. In addition to her role as an Education Programs Coordinator with Free Periods Canada, she works as an Educational Content Creator with Jems – a Canadian-owned safer sex brand – and is a freelance zinester, facilitator, and graphic designer.
